Kabaddi

Kabaddi

All work and no play make jack a dull boy” is a very well known proverb. Games are very useful for health. They refresh and recreate the energy that has been lost in the days work. Students who have to study hard must play some games. There are a number of games both Indian and Foreign. Crickets, Tennis, Football are a number of games. They are costly. On the other hand, ‘Kabaddi’, Wrestling etc. are Indian games. I like to play ‘Kabaddi’ more than any other game. It is my favorite game.

‘Kabaddi’ can easily be played in a small field. It does not require a large play ground. The field is divided into two parts by drawing a line in the middle. There are two teams, each of eight players. One team plays on each side of the line. A player from one of the teams goes to other side and tries to touch a player of the opposite side. If he is captured, he is declared, “DEAD”. On the other hand, if he succeeds and returns to his side of the line, the player who has been touched is supposed to be “DEAD”. The dead player sits apart and does not participate in the game. In this way, the game continues till one of the parties is defeated.
I like ‘Kabaddi’ for a number of reasons. It does not require a large play-ground. It can be played even in the court-yard of a house. It is very cheap. The players have to be alert constantly. The game is good for health. The players have constantly to run and jump. They are active throughout. The game does not required much time. It recreates and gives good exercise only within a few minutes.
For all these reasons, “Kabaddi’ is my favorite game. It should be made compulsory in schools and colleges. At present there are no suitable arrangements for games in schools. Foreign games are costly, and need large playground. So most of the students do not play any of the games, this is a serious short-coming. It can be overcome by making ‘Kabaddi’ compulsory.

Table teniss

Table teniss
Table tennis is a very fun and enjoyable game. Now it is not only a game, but a sport an Olympic sport. Most historians will agree thattable tenish originated centuries ago in England. It is thought that it was first played with makeshift equipment on dining room tables. Around the beginning of the 18th century people began using celluloid balls instead of the traditional rubber and cork. After this the game became very popular in England and in the united states. Some common names for it early on where gossimar, whiff-whaff, and ping pong.Ping-pong is the name that actually caught on and we still use it today. It became a patented trade name for. Around the early 1920s the game was becoming very popular and in several parts of the world a movement started to revive table tennis as a serious sport. A meeting held in 1926 in berlin among five nations resulted in the formation of the inte

There is also doubles play in table tennis. The ball must then hit the table on the server"tms side of the net first. In fact most people still play with the old ball size of 38 mm. ational table tennis federation or ittf. It has a few different rules to follow. The first is that the serve must be from the right hand court into the opponent"tms right hand court#2 each partner must alternate shots. A player must have at least a 2 point advantage to win the game. you stand on the ends that are 5 ft in width. One player serves until five points have been scored and then the opponent serves for the next 5 points. They also have this rule in tennis. 7 grams and is 40 millimeters in diameter. In the official rules it states that the racquet may be any shape size, or weight - although there are tons of tiny stipulations and conditions that go along with that. The table that you play on is 9 ft by 5 ft. Like in tennis, table tennis requires the players to hit the ball back and forth over the net until one of the players misses the ball, or hits it into the net or off the table; in either of these cases, the opponents scores. They have recently changed the ball size.

Marathon

Marathon
The New York Club opened a marathon Thanksgiving Day on November 22 called held in park. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to registration which was held in an elementary school a mile away from park. By the time I got to it was almost 9am and the race was about to begin. The New York
Road Runners event coordinators told me to just run it because it was only a "friendly race" and said when I’m done maybe they can help me out by giving me a Turkey Trot shirt or
I, along with a few of my brothers and neighborhood friends attended summer camp at
school and had to walk roughly 3 miles to get home. The trip took us down a road bordering
a white neighborhood.  I was only 7 but recall vividly the terrifying reality of
racism as 4 men in a white truck chased us, trying to run us down.  My brothers dragged
me like a rag while these men yelled racial slurs.  We found a shortcut and ran through a
patch of woods bordering our own neighborhood.
That was my indoctrination to racism of the white perspective.  Through the 70’s and into
the 80’s my friends and I were chased no less than 5 times by whites in vehicles, I was
knocked off of my bicycle riding home from school, and became a part of a growing number
of black males with an eye toward retaliation.
My Christian upbringing tempered me.  Many of my contemporaries are jailed to this day.
I spent the better part of my elementary school days adjusting myself  to make myself
more palatable to my own- hey, they were all I had;  and being skeptical of the intentions
of anyone white.  My maturing enough to see the treatment of my mother as I tagged along
while she cleaned white people’s offices and homes, and my father, who worked in a state
job with an illiterate white boss who called him in to read items for him, reinforced this
mentality.  We’re talking 1970’s through early 80’s; not ancient history as some whites
would have you to believe.

                             WRESTLING

Ever since I stepped on the mat, I wanted to learn as much about wrestling as I could. As my first match approached, I felt confident in my abilities. Being the only member of my team who lost at our season opener was the most embarrassing experience of my life. Hubris was my major downfall - I had over-estimated my ability, and losing was a rude awakening.A variety of skills are taught at college wrestling camps including takedowns, pinning, mental attitude, strength development, escapes, reversals, weight lose and nutrition. There is usually a lot of drilling and plenty of live wrestling as well. The 2 basic styles of amateur wrestling are Greco-Roman and freestyle. Other forms of wrestling are common within different cultures.
So for the past 2 to 3 quarters I spent long hours in the hot, thick-aired wrestling room conditioning non-stop with my female coach, Natalia. My parents told my coach to bring her in since they still did not want me to wrestle guys, especially after I passed out the first time I attempted to wrestle a guy.Though interest in foot-bags faded, a core group of competitors has remained. Those who use footbags value how it increases their agility, coordination, endurance, balance, and concentration College-style wrestling, sometimes also known as scholastic or folk-style wrestling, is a form of wrestling that is native to the USA.

Cricket

Cricket

Cricket is a very interesting outdoor game. It is not our national game. It was introduced into this country by the English. It is the national game of the English. But now it is played in some countries of the world.
This game is played between two teams. Each team consists of eleven players. It is played on a large plot of ground. The ground must not be rough. Two bats, two sets of stumps and two pair of bails and a small leather ball, called the duce ball, are required. One set of stumps, which are three in number, is fixed just opposite to the other. The distance between them is twenty-two yards. The bails are placed on these stumps, which are called wickets. There are two judges. They are called umpires.
Of the two teams, at first one bats and the other bowls and fields. When the batting of the first team is over, the second team bats and the first one bowls and fields. At the beginning of the play, two batsmen of one party stand at the front of each set of the wickets. Of the eleven players of the other party one stands behind one set of wickets and another bowls from near the other set of wickets. The rest stand in different positions. Then the play begins.
The bowler throws the ball. He tries to hit the stumps opposite to him. The batsman resists it by trying to strike the ball hard with the bat. If he succeeds, he and the other batsman run from wicket to wicket until the bowler can catch hold of the ball. These runs are counted. If the ball touches any of the stumps, the batsman is out. If the batsman strikes the ball and if this ball is caught by a fielder while it is in the air, then also the batsman is out. He may be out in other ways as well. When one batsman is out, he retires and another goes in to bat. The batting continues till the tenth man is out.
The other party then takes bat. The play then goes on as before. The party that scores the greater number of runs wins the game.Cricket is one of the best outdoor game. Many schools have cricket teams. It is a good physical exercise. All the muscles are exercised. It makes a young man hardy and steady. It teaches us patience, and obedience. It also teaches us the value of co-operation and fellow-feeling. Professional cricketers earn a lot of money if they play well. Test matches are played between two countries. This helps to develop fellow-feeling between the people of those two countries. Thus Indians have played cricket matches with England, Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, Pakistan, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
It is a good game, no doubt. But it is very costly. Some Indians have earned a great reptation all over the world as excellent cricketers. Our Government has conferred titles on some players in recognition of their skill in games

Basketball

Basketball
Basketball was invented in the United States in 1891and quickly became popular. Basketball is the one of the major world sport developed in the United States. The official basketball rules for 1966-1967 describe the sport as follows:
“Basketball is played by two teams of five players each. The purpose of each team is to throw the ball into it own basket and to prevent the other team from scoring. The ball may be thrown, rolled, dribbled in any direction, subject to restrictions laid down in… rules.” Basketball is usually played indoors but can be played level surfaces outdoors. More people watch basketball game than any other sport in the United States other than football. The Olympic games have included basketball since 1936. ~ Dribble means to bounce the ball on the floor. ~ Field Goal counts as two points when it scored in the basket before the 3-point line. ~ Foul is a violation mostly when a person pushes, holds, or charges
It is made of leather, plastic, or any other like material inflated with air. A sideline marks each side of the court. Turnover happens when the offensive team loses possession without taking a shot. A good free throw counts as 1 point. They are divided into 16-minutes halves, each of which consists of 8-minutes quarters. Professional teams play 12-minutes quarters and have 1. ~ Press occurs when the opposing player guard offensive players closely. Outdoor courts are made of concrete, asphalt, or other solid material. ~ Free Throw is a shot toward a fouled player. Jump ball happens when the referee tosses the ball in the air while two opposing players try to tap the ball to their teammates. No other player can enter inside the key while the player is shooting. If we does not play carefully there will happen some great accident. We have listen bad and sad news  about basketball because of unbalanced playrs force. Some times ago we have listen Obama has become injury by the careless of himself so that be careful land obey the rules and regulation  properly about this game.

Badminton

Badminton

Many Americans play baseball, basketball, soccer, or tennis. Many of them watch these sports on TV, and many buy tickets to their games and matches. But the average American has never even heard competieion , let alone gone to see a match. As a player myself, I can assure you that the common misconception that badminton is merely a  ports  couldn’t be farther from the truth. Badminton began as a leisurely backyard sport and evolved to competitive sport ranging to Olympic levels.Badminton originated thousands of years ago in India, before many of the other sports were commercialized. It is believed to have evolved from a children’s game known as battledore and shuttlecock, the battledore being a paddle and the shuttlecock a small-feathered cork, now called a “bird” or “birdie.” The objective was simply to keep the bird in the air for as long as possible.

The first Badminton Club in America was The Badminton Club of New York, BCNY, was formed in 1878, but it was primarily a social club. Badminton requires intensive training and conditioning, and in the most competitive countries children are often started as early as 4-5 years old. When explaining the game to their friends, the guests referred to it as "the Badminton game"? for the name of his estate and the name stuck. Badminton was staged as a demonstration sport at the 1972 Olympics, and premiered as a full medal Olympic sport in 1992 at the Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain and has continued to be such ever since. The competitive nature of badminton is demonstrated by the determination of the player to do such feats as hitting birdies clocked up to 200 miles an hour at the most advanced levels. In 1893 the Badminton Association of England was founded as the first national governing body and the first All-England championship was held in 1899. Despite the efforts, badminton did not become popularuntil the 1930"tms.
